This is a portrait of my latest Dungeons & Dragons character. It is meant to be printed on the character sheet for easier description of the character and to have something to show the other players. Because of that there is a certain lack of dramatic lighting.
She is a wizard who wears her spellbook on her skin. The runes are basically compressed information about the spell she wants to cast that are magically pasted onto her skin. The prepared spells are golden in color while the unprepared are black. In Dungeons & Dragons the characters don’t have access to all their spells all the time, they need to familiarize themselves with the spells they want to use for the day.
Bellatrix is a Tiefling that has very much interest in her devil ancestry and is actively trying to gain her own realm to rule and she isn’t afraid of piling up some bodies to achieve her goal.
